About DistriChem-Eco
DistriChem-Eco is a growing Canadian company specializing in industrial cleaning, specialized industrial services, water treatment and chemical solutions.
As part of our expansion in Ontario, we are looking for an experienced Sales Rep – Ontario | Industrial Services & Chemical Solutions to lead the development of our Ontario market.
This is a senior, hands-on position combining business development, technical sales, chemical distribution and field leadership.
We are looking for someone who understands heavy industry, has an established network within the Ontario industrial market, and can turn technical expertise and relationships into long-term customers.
The Role
The Regional Director will have three primary objectives:
1. Develop new industrial service contracts
Build relationships with industrial facilities throughout Ontario and generate new opportunities for DistriChem-Eco's specialized industrial services.
2. Significantly grow our chemical products business
Develop recurring chemical sales and distribution accounts by identifying customer needs and introducing appropriate chemical solutions.
3. Provide technical and operational leadership in the field
When DistriChem-Eco performs projects in Ontario and Québec, act as our senior local representative and help lead our teams of specialized technicians on customer sites.
This is not a traditional sales position. We are looking for someone who can sell, understand the technical application, develop the customer relationship and support execution in the field.

Business Development & Sales
- Develop DistriChem-Eco's customer base throughout Ontario
- Generate new industrial service contracts and recurring accounts
- Leverage existing industry relationships to open new opportunities
- Develop relationships with plant managers, maintenance managers, engineering teams, reliability managers, production managers and procurement departments
- Visit industrial facilities to identify operational and maintenance opportunities
- Identify upcoming shutdowns, outages and major maintenance projects
- Develop proposals and technical-commercial solutions with our internal team
- Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms
- Develop recurring service agreements
- Maintain and manage an active sales pipeline
- Represent DistriChem-Eco with customers and industry organizations
Chemical Sales & Distribution
A major component of this position will be the growth of DistriChem-Eco's chemical products business in Ontario.
The Regional Director will be responsible for identifying opportunities to introduce and distribute chemical products to industrial customers, including products used for:
- Cooling water treatment
- Boiler water treatment
- Process water treatment
- Wastewater treatment
- Scale and deposit control
- Industrial cleaning
- Descaling
- Degreasing
- Process applications
- Specialty industrial applications
The objective is to develop long-term, recurring chemical accounts in addition to project-based industrial service revenue.
The successful candidate should be comfortable identifying a customer's chemical requirements, working with our technical specialists when necessary, proposing solutions and developing a long-term supply relationship.
Previous experience selling or distributing industrial chemicals, water-treatment chemicals, process chemicals or specialty chemicals is a significant asset.
Field & Technical Leadership
When DistriChem-Eco performs work at customer facilities in Ontario or Québec, the Regional Director will also act as an important technical and operational representative for the company.
Responsibilities may include:
- Lead and support DistriChem-Eco technicians during Ontario projects
- Coordinate directly with customer representatives during project execution
- Participate in pre-job site visits and project planning
- Help determine the appropriate cleaning method, chemicals, equipment and manpower
- Ensure customer expectations and project scope are clearly understood
- Provide technical guidance to technicians when required
- Coordinate with DistriChem-Eco management and operations
- Identify additional opportunities while on customer sites
- Conduct post-project follow-ups with customers
- Develop service work into recurring customer relationships
This position does not replace our specialized technicians or operations team. Rather, the Regional Director acts as a senior local technical and commercial leader capable of representing DistriChem-Eco from the initial customer discussion through project execution and follow-up.

Ideal Candidate
We are particularly interested in candidates with 10+ years of experience in industrial technical sales, chemicals, water treatment, industrial services or heavy industry.
The ideal candidate has:
- An established professional network within Ontario's industrial sector
- A proven ability to generate and close new industrial business
- Experience selling technical solutions to industrial facilities
- Experience with industrial chemicals and/or water treatment
- Strong knowledge of industrial plant operations
- The technical credibility to communicate with engineers, maintenance personnel and plant management
- Experience working directly inside industrial facilities
- The leadership ability to coordinate and support field technicians
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills
- An entrepreneurial approach to territory development
- The ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel throughout Ontario
A background in chemistry, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, water treatment, industrial processes or a related technical discipline is considered a strong asset.
Experience within mining, energy, metals, pulp and paper, chemical processing, manufacturing or industrial water treatment is highly valued.
The Person We Are Looking For
We are not looking for a salesperson who simply manages existing accounts.
We are looking for someone who can walk into an industrial facility, understand the operation, identify opportunities, speak technically with the customer and turn those opportunities into business.
The right candidate will be equally comfortable discussing a technical problem with a plant engineer, negotiating a contract with management, developing a recurring chemical account and supporting our technicians during a major industrial project.

Compensation
We understand that the value of the right candidate comes from their experience, technical expertise, industry relationships and ability to generate business.
For this reason, compensation is flexible and will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience and track record.

Pay: $70,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
