The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Salary Range: $75,000-$110,000
Job Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, plan and schedule preventative maintenance programs.

Work with the production management and maintenance lead hands for each set-up classification in the effective assignment of resources to each shift.

Troubleshoot problems with current production tools to ensure timely and appropriate repair.

Develop and implement effective mechanic training programs.
-
Ensure that standard procedures related to set-up are in place, understood and followed.

Monitor and enhance the preventative maintenance program for all production equipment.

Ensure that preventative maintenance sheets are completed appropriately and on time, with the necessary follow-up.

Ensure that all spare parts requirements for production equipment have been identified and are maintained between Production, Engineering, Tool Room and the Tool Crib.

Coordinate and work with continuous improvement teams in the identification of opportunities for tooling and set-up efficiency.

Ensure that strong channels of communication are established and maintained.

Work with production management/supervision to ensure the most efficient machine utilization.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, including maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work and inventory.
Qualifications:
-
Millwright/Electrician certification or equivalent.
-
A minimum of five years experience, supervisory experience is an asset.

Some experience in a Tool and Die environment would be a definite asset.

A strong working knowledge of best practice set-up processes and challenges.

An understanding of PLC programming, hydraulics and pneumatics, as well as mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Demonstrated experience with preventative maintenance program design and delivery.

Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals.
-
Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills are required.
