Position: Specialized Caregiver Supports
Wage: $27.54 per hour; as per the collective agreement
Hours: 8-hour shifts, ranging from 16 - 40 hours per week
Summary:
Axis Family Resources Ltd. is hiring Specialized Caregiver Supports to support Persons Served living in our Specialized Supportive Housing. Building and maintaining healthy relationships with our Persons Served through a trauma-informed practice is the core of our work. You will promote a positive and healthy environment that supports our persons served towards achieving educational, social, and recreational goals while focusing on daily life skills development. As a Specialized Caregiver Supports, you will be provided with in-depth training and 24-hour on-call support.

Qualifications & Requirements:
- A diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or other related discipline is an asset
- Minimum 2 - 4 years’ experience in social services, or a combination of education and experience will be considered
- Related experience in working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges will also be considered an asset
- Reliable transportation and a valid BC driver’s license
- Knowledge of and the ability to work with complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD or other neurobiological conditions is beneficial
- Clear Criminal Record Check (agency conducted, expenses covered)
- Effective written and verbal communication

Additional Information:
