Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice temporarily on a Permanent Part-time with possibility of Full-time. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for candidates to be well-versed in dental assisting practices and office admin procedures. We provide help in maintaining CE's and offer paid lunch time. We pride ourselves on state of the art equipment to keep our patients comfortable such Itero, Microscope and Nitrous sedation

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care.
Is expected to be a member of ODAA and perform duties within the scope of CDA-II. CDA-1 assistant with right mindset and skill can be considered.
Experience is an asset but new graduates are welcome.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of medical terminology.
Familiarity with Abeldent is preferred.
Experience in specialized areas such as Implants would be appreciated.
Previous experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous.
Knowledge of Front desk duties can enhance the candidate's profile.
