HRleaf is seeking an experienced and motivated people leader to join as a Consulting Team Lead. In this role, you will guide a team of Consultants and Analysts, turning strategic direction into consistent, high-quality client delivery on a day-to-day basis.
Reporting to the Director of Consulting Services, this is a hands-on leadership position focused on team development, performance management, workflow coordination, and ensuring smooth execution of client engagements. You will play a key role in maintaining service excellence, resolving escalations, and strengthening operational processes across the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Translate leadership strategy into clear, actionable plans and daily execution across the team
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Consultants and Analysts by setting expectations and supporting performance growth
- Manage team workload, prioritize assignments, track deliverables, and remove barriers to ensure timely completion
- Strengthen team capability through coaching, knowledge sharing, and improved decision-making
- Handle client and internal escalations, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication throughout
- Identify opportunities for improvement and enhance workflows, tools, templates, and processes
- Monitor service quality and consistency across engagements, ensuring compliance and risk awareness
- Maintain a small portfolio of clients to stay closely connected to the client experience and model best practices
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in people leadership, with a strong focus on coaching, accountability, and team development
- 5+ years of experience in Group Benefits and/or Group Retirement
- Strong ability to manage priorities, make decisions, and guide teams in fast-paced or complex environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback
- Experience managing escalations and resolving issues with sound judgment
- Strong organizational and delegation skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Life License (LLQP) required
- CEBS designation (completed or in progress) preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and familiarity with CRM or workflow management tools

Pay: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
