LDMLFN is looking for a full-time Partnerships & Business Development Coordinator based in Thunder Bay, ON. This role follows a 4-day workweek schedule.
Reporting to the Director of Economic Development, this role is responsible for supporting LDMLFN’s economic development priorities through the coordination, development, and advancement of strategic partnerships and business opportunities. Working at the intersection of strategy, business development, and execution, the successful candidate will help strengthen partnership pipelines, conduct due diligence, support funding alignment, and maintain systems that support long-term organizational growth.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinating and maintaining active, dormant, and prospective partnership inventories
- Tracking partnership lifecycles from exploration through execution and review
- Identifying, assessing, and advancing business and investment opportunities aligned with LDMLFN priorities
- Monitoring procurement platforms, RFPs, and development opportunities across relevant sectors
- Conducting environmental scans and market research on regional and industry opportunities
- Supporting due diligence activities, including financial, reputational, and strategic reviews
- Preparing briefing notes, recommendations, and partnership summaries to support leadership decision-making
- Identifying and tracking funding opportunities aligned with active partnerships and business initiatives
- Supporting relationship-building activities with government, private sector, Indigenous, and institutional partners
- Coordinating meetings, follow-ups, and engagement activities with current and prospective stakeholders
- Developing and maintaining centralized tracking systems, databases, dashboards, and corporate records
- Providing administrative and operational support through document management, reporting, and standardized templates
To qualify, you will need post-secondary education in Business, Economic Development, Public Administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in economic development, business development, partnerships, or project/program support will also be essential. Experience working with First Nations or Indigenous organizations, as well as familiarity with industrial, infrastructure, mining, forestry, energy, or natural resource sectors, will be highly regarded.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Experience supporting or advancing large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or resource development projects
- Strong analytical, research, and due diligence capabilities
- Understanding of procurement processes, partnership evaluation, and opportunity assessment
- Experience building structured tracking systems, databases, dashboards, or corporate records
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Understanding of Indigenous and regional economic development landscapes within Northwestern Ontario
- A valid Ontario driver's licence and ability to travel throughout Northwestern Ontario are considered assets

Compensation based on skills and experience, is a competitive annual salary of $80K–$95K, and a host of excellent benefits including:
- A 4-day work week (Monday to Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
