Construction Coordinator

Drain Bros. Excavating Limited / Balterre Contracting Limited are large privately owned construction companies that have been in business for over 50 years. Our companies specialize in sewer and watermain, road building, excavation, asphalt paving, and aggregate supply.

We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Construction Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, organizational, and computer skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment supporting Project Managers and field operations.

Job Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to Project Managers, Estimators, and Construction Management staff.
Assist with all aspects of projects from pre-construction through completion.
Create and maintain project files including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence.
Prepare field packages and ensure current drawings and project updates are distributed to Site Superintendents and Foremen.
Coordinate project documentation including shop drawings, locates, traffic control, ESC plans, and permits.
Create subcontractor and vendor packages ensuring all required compliance documentation is complete (WSIB, insurance, health & safety, purchase orders, etc.).
Assist with procurement of construction materials and coordinate timely delivery.
Prepare and submit monthly Payment Certificates (PCs) and Subcontractor Payment Certificates (Sub PCs).
Assist with Time & Material (T&M) tracking and project billing.
Maintain organized digital and physical project records.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in a construction coordination or project administration role is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced team environment.
