Ateliers Jacob is a luxury Canadian cabinetry manufacturer known for high quality custom cabinetry, refined design, and exceptional craftsmanship. We are opening our new Ateliers Jacob Etobicoke store location and are looking for an experienced Kitchen Designer and Sales Designer to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience in kitchen, cabinetry, and millwork design, enjoys working directly with clients, and is very comfortable in a sales focused design environment.
We are looking for a designer who can confidently meet with clients, understand their needs, create beautiful and functional cabinetry designs, and help guide clients through the selection, design, and sales process.

Creating thoughtful, functional, and beautiful kitchen, cabinetry, and millwork designs.
Staying current with design trends, finishes, materials, cabinetry details, and luxury kitchen design.
Sales and Relationship Building:
Confidently presenting design concepts, explaining options, and helping clients make informed decisions.
Comfortably discussing upgrades, design enhancements, pricing, and product value in a professional and client focused manner.
Developing and maintaining long term B2B relationships with Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, and Developers who may become ongoing referral partners, trade partners, or cabinetry clients for Ateliers Jacob Etobicoke.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
Create kitchen, cabinetry, and millwork designs for clients.
Prepare and present design concepts to clients in a professional and compelling manner.
Meet with clients in person, virtually, and in the showroom.
Conduct site measures and review site conditions.
Collaborate with the Ateliers Jacob team, installers, suppliers, contractors, builders, and other design professionals.
Assist clients with cabinetry finishes, materials, door styles, hardware, and related design selections.
Provide clear communication throughout the design and sales process.
Help clients understand design options, upgrades, product value, and investment levels.
Support clients from initial consultation through design development, quoting, revisions, selections, and final sale.
Maintain organized project notes, drawings, selections, measurements, and client communication.
Support the showroom sales process and contribute to sales growth.
Develop and nurture long term working relationships with Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, and Developers to support repeat business, referrals, and ongoing B2B partnerships.
Represent Ateliers Jacob Etobicoke professionally in both client facing and trade facing relationships.
Identify opportunities to introduce Ateliers Jacob cabinetry products to design professionals, builders, contractors, and other industry partners.
Support the growth of the showroom by building a strong local network of homeowners, design professionals, contractors, builders, and developers.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 plus years of experience in the kitchen, cabinetry, millwork, or related design industry.
Strong focus and experience in kitchen design, cabinetry design, and millwork design.
Minimum 3 plus years of SketchUp experience. This is required and non negotiable.
Kitchen sales or cabinetry sales experience is required.
Strong knowledge of cabinetry layouts, kitchen planning, space planning, millwork details, and design presentation.
Very comfortable in a sales role and confident presenting to clients.
Comfortable with in person client meetings, virtual client meetings, showroom meetings, and site measures.
Ability to conduct site measures accurately.
Must have a reliable working vehicle and be able to travel to client homes, job sites, supplier locations, and trade partner meetings as required.
Strong communication, organization, and follow up skills.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
Professional, polished, reliable, and able to represent a luxury cabinetry brand with confidence.
Helpful Assets:
AutoCAD experience.
2020 Design experience.
Formal education in Interior Design, Kitchen Design, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
AKBD, CKBD, or other kitchen and bath design credentials.
Experience working in a showroom environment.
Experience selling luxury cabinetry, kitchens, or millwork.
Experience developing B2B relationships with Interior Designers, Contractors, Builders, Developers, or other trade professionals.

Work Location:
Hybrid flexible role based out of the Ateliers Jacob Etobicoke showroom.
The Designer may complete some design, quoting, planning, and administrative work from home when appropriate. However, this role requires regular in person availability at the Etobicoke showroom for client meetings, showroom consultations, team collaboration, product reviews, and scheduled showroom coverage.
The Designer should expect to be at the showroom as required for meetings and business needs, with regular showroom days typically ranging from 1 to 3 days per week. The role also requires travel to client homes, job sites, supplier locations, and trade partner meetings as needed.

Pay: $65,400.00-$150,000.00 per year
