Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining tile surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial projects. This role requires proficiency in various construction techniques and tools, with a focus on delivering high-quality craftsmanship. The Tile Setter will collaborate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards and building codes.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine tile layout and specifications.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary adhesives or mortar.
Measure and cut tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, and tile saws to fit designated spaces.
Install tiles on floors, walls, countertops, and other surfaces with precision and attention to detail.
Apply caulking, grout, and sealants to ensure a finished look and prevent water infiltration.
Operate heavy equipment as needed for large-scale projects such as concrete forming or masonry work.
Assist with related tasks including cabinetry installation, flooring installation, restoration work, or plumbing as required.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tile Setter or in a similar construction role.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
Skills in carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry, welding, electrical work, plumbing, restoration, cabinet installation, flooring installation, construction painting, caulking, and concrete forming are highly desirable.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights or in confined spaces.
Valid <PERSON> license or relevant certifications preferred but not required. Join our team to contribute your expertise in tile setting while advancing your skills in a dynamic construction environment that values craftsmanship and safety.
