Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our vibrant care team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Responsibilities

Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
Administer medications accurately according to care plans and document all medication-related activities diligently.
Support individuals with dementia or disabilities by providing tailored care that respects their unique needs and preferences.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and adhering to health and safety standards.
Monitor health status by observing changes in condition, reporting concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
Offer emotional support and companionship to foster a positive, respectful atmosphere for residents or clients.

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of senior care principles.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those requiring dementia care is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and active listening abilities.
Ability to perform light cleaning, meal preparation, and other household tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare providers.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or care needs while maintaining a positive attitude.
