a Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glazier to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in glass installation and related building trades. The Apprentice Glazier will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to develop skills in glazing, framing, and general construction practices. This role is ideal for individuals interested in pursuing a career in construction, with opportunities to learn various trades and advance within the company.

Responsibilities

Assist with the installation, replacement, and repair of glass in windows, doors, and facades.
Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation.
Prepare work sites by measuring, cutting, and fitting glass panels according to specifications.
Support the team with framing, carpentry, and other related construction tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Follow safety protocols at all times during job execution.
Assist with restoration projects, including window restoration and building façade repairs

Skills

Familiarity with hand tools used in construction and glazing work.
Basic understanding of blueprint reading and schematics.
Construction experience or background in carpentry is a plus.
Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing glass installations.
Ability to follow detailed instructions from schematics or blueprints.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
Willingness to learn new skills across various trades such as restoration, plumbing, welding, flooring, or tile laying.
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

This apprenticeship position provides valuable industry experience for individuals eager to develop their skills in glazing and construction trades while contributing to quality building projects.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
