Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Apprentice & Journeyman Carpenter to join our construction team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop and refine your craftsmanship across a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in carpentry and construction, with a willingness to learn and grow within the industry. This position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to advancing their skills in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans
Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, framing, siding, roofing, and siding installation tasks
Install cabinetry, flooring (including tile laying), doors, windows, and other finish carpentry components
Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
Assist with masonry work, woodworking projects, plumbing, electrical tasks, and caulking as needed
Conduct heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards
Assist in construction estimating and project planning activities
Support team members in restoration projects and general handyman tasks
Maintain a clean and organized worksite to ensure safety and efficiency

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating
Experience with concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, tile laying, flooring installation, cabinetry installation, and woodworking
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment
Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on scaffolding or at heights when necessary
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Prior handyman experience or general construction experience is highly desirable
Ability to follow detailed instructions while working independently or as part of a team

This role provides valuable hands-on experience for those looking to advance from apprentice to journeyman status within the construction industry. Candidates should be motivated learners with a passion for craftsmanship and safety.

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
