Service Description:
The Chiropractor works in conjunction with the other therapists in the Brock Sport Medicine clinic at Canada Games Park, where they work as part of a multi-disciplinary sport medicine team and provide treatment and rehabilitation to community, varsity athletes and community athletes/teams.
We are looking for a Chiropractor who is motivated, patient-focused, and who will work well within a Team-based environment. Applicants must be registered, in good standing, with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario.
The Chiropractor promotes the Brock Sport Medicine Clinic with the priority to retain clientele and have effective strategies for client referral.
The Chiropractor will personify the values of Brock Sports & Recreation, exemplifying equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of client care in a safe sport environment.
Summary of Responsibilities:
· A Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) diagnoses and treats patients with neuromusculoskeletal disorders, focusing on the spine and joints, using manual therapies like spinal adjustments, and providing advice on lifestyle and preventative care.
· Assess patients' medical history, perform physical examinations, and order imaging to identify the source of musculoskeletal problems.
· Use hands-on techniques, including spinal adjustments and other manipulative therapies, to address musculoskeletal issues.
· Chiropractors work in private treatment rooms, with access to modalities such as Radial Shockwave and Laser.
· Develop personalized treatment plans for each patient based on their specific needs and goals
· Strong knowledge of pain management techniques and modalities
· Excellent patient care skills, including active listening and empathy
· Ability to analyze and interpret diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or MRIs
· Effective communication skills to explain treatment plans and educate patients on self-care practices

Qualifications & Requirements:
- ·Graduation from an accredited Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) program
- Completion of the Canadian Chiropractic examining board (CCEB) examinations
- Completion of the College of chiropractors of Ontario CCO legislation in ethics examination
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario
- Minimum of 2 years of related chiropractic experience in a multidisciplinary setting
- Relevant experience using chiropractic treatment with a sporting population
- Certifications in acupuncture/dry needling, Active Release Techniques (ART), Graston
- Standard First Aid/CPR/AED
- Satisfactory Criminal Records Check with vulnerable sector screening.
- Proven organizational, communication, interpersonal and administrative skills.
- Flexible and responsive to changing needs in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
· Provided flexibility in scheduling, and offer Administrative Support for marketing, scheduling and direct billing.
