About the Role
The Best Western Plus Sands Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Marketing & Brand Manager to lead the marketing efforts for a diverse portfolio of hospitality, entertainment, and recreation brands.
The marketing manager is a hands on in person role with the primarily weekly schedule being Tuesday to Saturday 11 to 7 with flexibility for life events. This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive revenue growth, increase brand awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and support long-term business objectives across our hotel, food & beverage, entertainment, and golf operations.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Marketing & Brand Manager will work closely with General Managers, operational teams, community partners, and a dedicated Social Media Coordinator who oversees much of the day-to-day content creation, graphic design, social publishing, and online engagement. This position focuses on the larger strategic vision, campaign development, performance analysis, budget management, and brand growth initiatives that contribute directly to business success.The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical, capable of translating business goals into measurable marketing initiatives while leveraging data and customer insights to continuously improve results
.Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Brand Leadership
- Develop and execute annual and seasonal marketing plans across all business units.
- Create integrated marketing campaigns that drive guest traffic, event attendance, hotel bookings, food and beverage sales, and golf participation.
- Identify growth opportunities through market research, competitive analysis, customer trends, and performance reporting.
- Ensure brand consistency while maintaining the unique identity and customer experience of each venue.
- Collaborate with venue leadership to align marketing initiatives with operational objectives and revenue targets.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with community organizations, tourism groups, local businesses, and industry stakeholders.
Analytics, Reporting & Business Performance
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance, customer engagement, website traffic, social media growth, email marketing metrics, and ROI.
- Develop weekly and monthly marketing performance reports for leadership.
- Utilize data-driven insights to optimize campaigns, promotional strategies, and customer acquisition efforts.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging marketing opportunities.
- Manage and allocate marketing budgets effectively while maximizing return on investment.
Digital Marketing & Communications
- Oversee digital marketing strategy across websites, email marketing, search visibility, social media, and online advertising.
- Manage and optimize company websites, ensuring content remains current, engaging, and conversion-focused.
- Lead email marketing strategy through Mailchimp, including audience segmentation, campaign planning, and performance analysis.
- Oversee Google Business Profiles and online reputation management.
- Coordinate promotional calendars, seasonal campaigns, special offers, contests, and brand collaborations.
Team Leadership & Content Oversight
- Provide direction and work with to the Social Media Coordinator, who is responsible for day-to-day social media publishing, content creation, graphic design, photography, video production, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with the Social Media Cooridinator to ensure content strategies align with broader marketing objectives and brand standards.
- Review and approve campaign creative, messaging, and content calendars.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration to generate engaging, authentic content opportunities across all venues.
Events & Community Engagement
- Develop marketing strategies and promotional plans for venue events, entertainment programming, tournaments, and special activations.
- Support event execution and ensure strong brand representation at community and industry events.
- Build relationships with influencers, media contacts, tourism partners, and community organizations.
- Identify sponsorship and partnership opportunities that enhance visibility and drive business growth.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of marketing analytics, reporting, customer acquisition, and ROI measurement.
- Experience managing budgets and marketing performance metrics.
- Knowledge of hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, entertainment, or recreation industries is considered an asset.
- Experience with website management, email marketing platforms, social media strategy, and digital advertising.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple brands and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience leading or mentoring team members is considered an asset.
- Access to a vehicle and ability to travel between venues is beneficial.
