Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various painting techniques, restoration, and construction projects, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality finishes in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require precision, craftsmanship, and excellent customer service skills. The Painter & Decorator will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint and coatings, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings.
Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision.
Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
Perform restoration work on existing surfaces to improve appearance and durability.
Use rigging techniques to access high or hard-to-reach areas safely.
Operate various equipment including scaffolding, ladders, and scaffolding systems to ensure safe working conditions.
Manage time effectively to complete projects within deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to coordinate work schedules and project details.
Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting.
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, carpentry skills, and rigging procedures.
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple projects.
Experience in restoration work is a plus.
Familiarity with safety protocols related to working at heights and handling hazardous materials.
