Financial Administrator: Part Time Permanent (2 days per week)

Kincardine Family Health Organization

Job Description

The Kincardine Family Health Organization is seeking an experienced and qualified individual to join our team in the role of Financial Administrator.

The Kincardine Family Health Organization (KFHO) is a group of family doctors with a mission to provide comprehensive patient care to our community. As the Financial Administrator with the KFHO, you will have an organized approach, keen eye for detail, experience maintaining Human Resource records, managing organizational finances, and statutory compliance. The successful applicant will have knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, strong accounting skills, and be able to work with minimal supervision. This position reports to the Clinic Manager.

Roles and Responsibilities:

General Administration – Provide clerical and administrative support to the Clinic Manager as needed, maintain accounting files and HR files for employees, procurement and purchasing processes for office and medical supplies.

Payroll Administration – Oversee employee time entries, administer payroll including all internal reporting requirements and remittances.

Financial Administration – Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, account reconciliations and monthly financial reports, maintenance of petty cash funds, HST reporting, EHT Remittances, Ministry of Health financial reporting and coordinating an annual audit.

Education / Specific Job Requirements:

- Diploma/degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent business experience

- Knowledge of bookkeeping and record-keeping requirements and compliance and generally accepted accounting principles

- Working knowledge of SAGE software

Experience:

- At least 5 years of experience in a mid-sized business setting (payroll of 20 - 30 employees, budget in excess of $1 million)

- Skilled with accounting software programs and Excel

Overview

· A typical workday may consist of up to an eight (8) hour day, with 60-minutes unpaid for lunch. Schedules will vary but hours are normally from 8:30am to 4:30pm Mondays to Thursday, some flexibility.

· Hourly rate range is $38 - $42 per hour
