Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $17.00 an hour

We provide professional security services to commercial, industrial, healthcare, construction, residential, and event clients. We take pride in our commitment to safety, professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.

Job Summary

Maritect is seeking reliable, professional, and customer-focused Security Guards to join our growing team. Security Guards are responsible for protecting people, property, and assets while maintaining a strong visible presence and providing exceptional service to clients and visitors.

Successful candidates will be dependable, observant, able to work independently, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform foot patrols of assigned sites
Monitor premises for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security breaches
Control access to buildings, properties, and restricted areas
Respond to alarms call outs and client requests
Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident reports
Provide excellent customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and the public
Follow all company policies, site procedures, and safety regulations
Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, emergency responders, and fellow team members
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Assist with emergency evacuations and other safety procedures when required

Qualifications

Required

Valid Nova Scotia Security Guard Licence (or willingness to obtain)
Valid Driver's Licence and reliable transportation
Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
Reliable, punctual, and professional

Assets

First Aid/CPR Certification
Healthcare, industrial, construction, or event security experience
De-escalation, conflict resolution, or crisis intervention training
Previous security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience
