Full job description

Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Relief Accountant to provide support to our accounting team on a casual basis. The primary responsibility will be managing VLTs and handling daily cash transactions. This role requires approximately 8 hours per pay period, with additional hours to cover during the Hotel Accountant's scheduled vacations and time off.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reconciliation of daily accounting records while ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal control.
Counting cash and preparing deposits.
Count and reconcile Video Lottery Terminal (VLT) revenues in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Ensure accuracy in VLT cash handling and reporting, and promptly identify and resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications:

Business or Accounting Certificate or Diploma.
Previous cash handling experience.
Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Experience with Microsoft Excel.
Possess a high attention to detail.
