The Opportunity: Assembly Clerk
As an Assembly Clerk, you’ll make a meaningful role supporting our underwriting team by:
- Printing, matching and proofing of documents to ensure accuracy prior to being distributed.
- Distribution of supporting documents to the insured, broker, and management.
- Supporting other administrative functions or special projects as required for the office.
We're looking for a detail-oriented, enthusiastic team player who embodies our company values and is committed to providing top-notch service.
This is an 12-month onsite (Portage la Prairie) fixed-term opportunity.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for ensuring policy documents (and related documents) being distributed are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
- Provides support to the Underwriting Department as required (i.e. matches policy documents and reviews for completeness of information from Underwriting team members).
- Communicates with contacts, suppliers and colleagues in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Responsible for printing all required documents in the Branch. Matches all prints to documentation received from Underwriters Prepares and proofs all documents while ensuring accuracy prior to distribution.
- Distributes completed documents to the mailroom.
What You’ll Bring:
- Completion of General Insurance Essentials Certificate (Insurance Institute of Canada) is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong team player, communicates well and enjoys working with people.
- Consistently displays a friendly, courteous and professional manner.
- Must provide excellent customer service skills.
- Strong reading and writing skills.
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of MS Office and MS Teams skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- The ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize duties.
- Must have the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
The targeted pay range for this in office position in the following location is:
Canada – Portage la Prairie : $40,700 - $44,500 CAD / Annual
This position is part of the Portage la Prairie office Association.
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role and level. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
