Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in various carpentry and construction tasks, providing a foundation for a rewarding career in the trades. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, safety-conscious, and capable of performing physical labor in diverse environments. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will assist skilled carpenters with building, installing, and repairing structures while developing your technical skills and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

Assist with reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to support project execution
Learn to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Aid in wood framing, wall systems, floor systems, and roof structures on residential builds
Support installation of siding and other structural components
Participate in heavy lifting and material handling to ensure efficient workflow on site
Follow all WorkSafeBC safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment
Support setup and cleanup of job sites in compliance with safety standards
Work under the direct supervision and mentorship of a Registered Journeyman Carpenter
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and to specification

What We Are Looking For

Prior experience or familiarity with construction-related tasks is an asset but not required — training will be provided
Ability to read basic blueprints or willingness to learn
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding outdoor conditions
Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in the carpentry trade
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
Demonstrated safety awareness and adherence to safety guidelines
Valid work authorization in Canada required
