Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various manual tasks on-site, supporting the successful completion of projects. This role offers an opportunity to develop skills in roofing, carpentry, and general construction work while contributing to a team environment. This position is seasonal and weather dependent, expect to work anywhere from 30-50+ hours per week depending on weather.

Duties

Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools to
Support roof work, including shingle passing, cutting, and general roof assembly
Material handling to ensure efficient workflow eg. shingles, plywood etc.
General demolition eg. Tearing off shingles, throwing garbage in bin, etc.
Set up scaffolding and ladders
Measuring and cutting of various materials
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris
Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries

Experience

Prior experience with hand tools, power tools and roofing is great but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
Knowledge of basic hand tools such as measuring tape, chalk line, hammer and nail etc.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills are essential for success in this role
Drivers license an asset but not required

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
