We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Civil Superintendent to oversee field operations on civil construction projects across British Columbia. This role will focus on road construction, highway work, and municipal underground utilities, including manholes and pipe installation.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical knowledge, and hands-on experience managing crews, including pipelayers, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.

Location: British Columbia - local hires from Kelowna and Vernon. No accommodations provided, travel to and from site daily.
Rotation: 5 Days on 2 Days off - 10 hour days
Opportunity Description:
We are seeking an experienced Civil Superintendent to oversee and manage field operations for road construction, highway projects, and municipal utility installations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage crews, schedules, and project execution safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations for civil construction projects
- Oversee road building, highway construction, and municipal underground utility installations (water, sewer, storm)
- Manage crews including equipment operators, laborers, and pipelayers
- Ensure proper installation of manholes, piping systems, and related infrastructure
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and project plans
- Utilize GPS and grade control systems to ensure accuracy in construction
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
- Enforce company safety policies and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors
- Monitor quality control and ensure work meets industry standards
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent or similar leadership role
- Strong background in road construction, highways, and municipal infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with underground utilities and manhole installation
- Experience working with GPS machine control systems
- Proven ability to lead and manage field crews, including pipelayers
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
