Full job description

Job Overview
The Family Place Facilitator plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for families and children within our community. This position involves organizing and leading family-focused activities, providing guidance, and fostering positive interactions among participants. The facilitator will work closely with families to promote healthy relationships, social skills, and community engagement, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all involved.

Duties

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate family-centered activities and programs that promote bonding, learning, and fun.
Assist families in connecting with community resources and services as needed.
Maintain a welcoming environment by greeting families and encouraging participation.
Collaborate with team members to develop new program ideas that meet the needs of the community.
Monitor activity areas to ensure safety protocols are followed and equipment is used properly.
Keep records of attendance and participation for program evaluation purposes.

Requirements

Experience working with children in educational, recreational, or community settings is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and community members.
Ability to organize activities that are age-appropriate, inclusive, and engaging.
Excellent communication skills to foster a positive environment for families.
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of the program and participants. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of families while developing valuable skills in community engagement and youth development.

Pay: $26.50-$28.08 per hour
