As a Bilingual Service Engineer in Building Automation and Connected Services at Honeywell, your main responsibility will be to provide technical support and services to our clients. This includes diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment problems, performing repairs and maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in delivering high-quality service and maintaining strong relationships with our clients.

You will report directly to the Senior Field Service Supervisor of the Digital Solutions team and will primarily work at client sites in the Quebec city region and surrounding areas.

In this role, you will significantly influence the success of our clients by ensuring the reliable operation of their equipment and systems. You will also contribute to the growth of the company by identifying opportunities for service contract renewals and proposing additional services.

VOUS DEVEZ AVOIR

1.5+ ans d’expérience dans des environnements infonuagiques (Cloud).
1.5+ ans d’expérience en architecture informatique, systèmes embarqués.
Diplôme collégial ou baccalauréat dans un domaine technique tel que l’ingénierie ou l’informatique, ou expérience pertinente.
1.5+ ans d’expérience en ingénierie de service ou dans un rôle similaire.
1.5+ ans d’expérience dans un environnement de systèmes d’automatisation du bâtiment (BAS) spécialisé dans le support, le déploiement, l’automatisation et les systèmes de contrôle, y compris CVC et éclairage, visant à améliorer l’efficacité et la performance opérationnelle des bâtiments.
1.5+ ans d’expérience avec les systèmes BAS utilisant des protocoles de communication standard de l’industrie tels que IP, BACnet, Modbus, OPC, SNMP et API.
Bilingue (français et anglais).
Permis de conduire valide (classe 5).

YOU MUST HAVE:

1.5+ years of experience in cloud environments.
1.5+ years of experience in IT architecture and embedded systems.
A college diploma or bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science, or relevant experience.
1.5+ years of experience in service engineering or a similar role.
1.5+ years of experience in a building automation systems (BAS) environment specializing in support, deployment, automation, and control systems, including HVAC and lighting, aimed at improving operational efficiency and performance of buildings.
1.5+ years of experience with BAS systems using standard industry communication protocols such as IP, BACnet, Modbus, OPC, SNMP, and API.
Bilingual (French and English).
Valid driver’s license (class 5).

Responsibilities

Promote, establish, and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Understand, implement, and troubleshoot building network topologies, including but not limited to BACnet, Cbus, Modbus, and LON.
Perform preventive maintenance on various servers and workstations of the central management system (backups, cleaning, and updates).
Ensure that all assigned preventive maintenance tasks are completed on time and within the scheduled month.
Implement and maintain integrative systems in a cybersecurity environment.
Verify functional performance to ensure proper operation in accordance with contractual requirements, using plans, workshop operation sequences, and other relevant documents.
Manage client projects and/or participate in service or installation work delivery, including but not limited to engineering, plan creation, programming, documentation, installation, subcontractor management, commissioning, testing, and client acceptance. Collaborate with the local engineer to understand the scope of work, as well as the materials, software, graphics, and construction details required.
Stay informed about new technologies, industry changes, and product developments.
Collaborate closely with dispatch and clients to meet their and the organization’s expectations.
Perform certain tasks outside normal working hours as needed.
Respond to emergency calls and be on call as needed.
Provide quotes to clients in response to requests for information (RFI) and requests for services (RFS).
Provide training to clients and team members.
Document all work according to established standards and ensure follow-up and maintenance of documentation.
Adhere to Honeywell performance indicators and comply with workplace health and safety standards.
Occasionally travel within the province of Quebec as needed by clients.
