Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Cake Decorator (Décorateur(trice)) to join our bakery team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes, ensuring each masterpiece meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This role offers an opportunity to showcase artistic skills in a vibrant food industry environment, contributing to special occasions and celebrations. The Cake Decorator will work closely with customers and team members to deliver exceptional baked goods that delight both the eyes and palate.

Duties

Decorate cakes, pastries, and desserts according to customer specifications and company standards
Prepare cakes and baked goods for decoration, including icing, fondant, and other toppings
Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations
Assist in food preparation tasks such as baking, icing, and packaging baked goods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and work area
Interact with customers to understand their decoration preferences and provide excellent customer service
Package finished products carefully for delivery or display purposes
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders during busy periods

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery setting preferred
Strong skills in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant work, and creative design
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Basic kitchen experience in food industry operations such as cooking, baking, or food presentation is advantageous
Familiarity with packaging techniques for baked goods is a plus
Ability to work flexible hours as needed; prior kitchen or restaurant experience is desirable but not mandatory
