Position Summary
As a member of senior leadership, the Executive Director, Human Resources and Administration drives the organization's HR and administrative strategy, ensuring these functions are aligned with overall business objectives. They play a key role in developing human capital, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
Main Responsibilities

Strategic leadership: Define the vision and strategy for human resources and administration, aligning these functions with the organization's overall objectives and advising senior leadership on organizational matters

Human resources management: Design, implement, and oversee HR policies and programs, including recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, performance management, and labour relations

Organizational culture: Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive corporate culture by promoting employee engagement, professional development, and well-being at work

Compliance and policies: Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in human resources and administration, and keep policies and procedures up to date

Budget management: Develop and manage HR and administration budgets, ensuring efficient and rigorous use of resources

Succession planning: Identify and develop key talent within the organization to ensure the continuity and sustainability of strategic functions

Change management: Support the organization through transformations by proposing change management strategies adapted to operational realities

Team management: Supervise, engage, and develop the human resources and administration team, providing inspiring leadership and clear direction
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, business administration, or a related field

Ten (10) years of experience in a human resources and administration management role, ideally in a unionized environment

In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR and administrative standards under federal jurisdiction

Master's degree in human resources or a related field (an asset)

French is required; advanced proficiency in English is also required on a daily basis given the international scope of the organization and regular interactions with English-speaking colleagues, clients, and partners
