Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to staff several indeterminate, full-time positions in Montreal, Quebec.
A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within the RCMP, the duration of which (term or indeterminate) and/or the security clearance and/or language profile could vary depending on the position.
If a civilian member (CM) is deemed qualified and considered for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the public service employee (PSE) category for the CM.

All applicants for positions within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police will be subject to a thorough security clearance process which includes an interview wherein questions may include (but not limited to): reference checks, previous employment, on-line activities, credit checks, alcohol and/or drug use.

The first step in the process is screening. Use the questionnaire to clearly demonstrate that you meet the required criteria. Your responses must specify WHERE (workplace), WHEN (dates), and HOW (concrete examples) you acquired the required education, experience, and qualifications. Only the information provided will be considered.
- ️ Important: If your responses do not contain sufficient detail to demonstrate that you meet the screening criteria, your application will not be retained. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and applicants will not be contacted to provide missing information. It is essential that you answer each screening question fully, as the assessment committee may not refer to your résumé or other parts of your application to locate the required information.
Following the screening stage, applications will be assessed using the following tools: written examination and interview. Reference checks may also be conducted.
