The position at a glance
The Business Intelligence Intern supports BNP Paribas’ commitment to secure, data‑driven compliance by developing AI agents that enhance operational efficiency within the Financial Security domain. Working inside the Projects and Business Intelligence function, the intern will design, test and deploy generative‑AI solutions that automate reporting and compliance checks. The role offers a fast‑paced, collaborative environment to build technical expertise and professional skills.
In detail
- Collaborate with project owners to gather operational requirements during the analysis phase to ensure AI solutions address real‑world compliance needs.
- Deploy AI agents that connect to data sources and retrieve relevant information on a scheduled basis to streamline compliance monitoring.
- Apply generative AI techniques to review documents and perform compliance checks, reducing manual effort and enhancing accuracy.
- Conduct systematic testing of prompts and model outputs to validate performance against regulatory standards.
- Evaluate AI‑driven results across various compliance processes, identifying improvement opportunities to increase efficiency.
- Communicate project status and findings in team meetings and written reports to keep stakeholders informed and guide next steps.
Work conditions: This position provides for standard working conditions in an office and a normal work schedule from Monday to Friday.

The strengths and skills that will help you succeed
- Enrolled in a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related engineering field.
- The professional knowledge of English is required.*
- Academic experience in relevant fields.
- Strong knowledge in artificial intelligence and predictive modelling, enabling the design of AI agents that automate compliance data extraction.
- Proficient in programming and development, allowing the creation and maintenance of generative AI workflows.
- Collaborative problem solving when working with cross‑functional project owners and compliance teams.
- Clear reporting of project status to managers and sponsors, anticipating business needs and informing next steps.
- Adaptable mindset to respond to evolving regulatory expectations and high‑impact situations.
- Given the vast majority of our clients, both internal and external, are based outside of Quebec and Canada, specific language requirements may apply. Professional working proficiency in English language is required.
