POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a talented Auxiliary Nurse who cares about the health of residents. The team of auxiliary nurses administers medication and ensures that resident files are updated in the Symo computer tool. They respond to emergencies and work closely with the health services manager. The position is a 10/14 evening shift, i.e. 80 hours per 2 weeks.

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with private seniors' home certification and the code of ethics
Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
Collaborate with residents for medical visits
Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
Respond to all emergency situations
Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
Upon requests from physicians, pharmacists or the CISSS, follow up on residents medical dossiers and prescriptions

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Good communication
A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
Member of the OIIAQ
