We are currently looking for innovative Nurse Practitioners licensed in Quebec to join our growing team of healthcare providers at Kinro. Preference will be given to NPs with additional licensing.
Full job description
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a primary care provider to our patients who works to their full scope of practice as described and outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). The attending NP will practice both independently and in collaboration with the Medical Director and other members of the health care team in the development, implementation and evaluation of virtual care plans for patients. Approximately 90% of their time will be providing direct patient care in the virtual environment while 10% will focus on quality improvement/ research.
The NP will:
- Conduct virtual comprehensive consultations for patients with under the guidance of the Medical Director
- Review medical histories.
- Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Prescribe drugs or devices, order services within the clinic’s guidelines and their scope of practice.
- Educate patients about their health issue, their causes, and treatment options.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support holistic patient care.
- Conduct virtual follow-ups with patients to assess treatment progress, manage medication adherence, and address any concerns.
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- You have graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program in Canada or the United States.
· You hold current certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Quebec a (preferably with cross-jurisdictional licensure), and are a member in good standing with the College(s) where you hold the title of Nurse Practitioner.
· You maintain eligibility and willingness to be licensed in other provinces.
· You are physically located in Quebec, with a Quebec billing number, required for ordering laboratory testing.
· You have a minimum of 1-2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience, with demonstrated experience of providing patients with the best possible care.
· You are available to provide a minimum of 4 hours of scheduled time per week on the platform, in addition to logging in every 24hrs to address patient needs.
· You have strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to make informed decisions in patient care.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and other healthcare team members.
- You are proficient in using electronic medical record systems, with technology and remote work.
- You are committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
· You maintain confidentiality and follow the code of conduct as per the governing body of their province/territory.
· You are adaptable and open to change.
· Virtual care experience is an asset.

Compensation:
· Nurse practitioners are compensated on a per assessment basis.
Pay: $100.00-$140.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 per week
