Full job description

Our client, a manufacturing company located near Montreal, QC is looking for a Quality Control Technician (Evenings) to join their team

What you will do in this role:

Under the responsibility of the QC supervisor, the QC Technician is responsible for the control of raw materials and packaging materials, analyzing of semi -finished and finished products. The technician has the responsibility to report any abnormalities detected.
Evaluate the finished products assembled by co-manufacturing on the sensory and the physio-chemical levels and ensure that they meet specifications
Prepare samples and document all requests for microbiological analyses at external laboratories

What you will bring to the role:

Must have a bachelor’s in science and Technology of Food / Food Science / Microbiology or a DEC on a related field (ITA, Diet, etc.)
Have 2– 3 years of experience in the food industry and similar functions
Good knowledge of HACCP and GMP
Familiarity of quality management systems
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written)
