Full job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various materials. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform welding tasks using various techniques and equipment to fabricate metal components.
Interpret and read blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
Operate press brake machines and other machinery for metal shaping and forming.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, grinding, and assembly.
Rig materials safely for lifting and transportation within the work area.
Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.

Requirements

Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
Experience with fabricating metal components from raw materials.
Familiarity with operating forklifts for material handling.
Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
Valid drivers license - field work may be required.
Mechanical knowledge an asset.
