Full job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Accounts Payable & Accounting Clerk to join a dynamic finance team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Controller, this role is primarily responsible for a ccounts payable processing and providing general accounting support.
This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to gain exposure to a wide range of accounting functions while contributing to a growing global organization.

Pay Rate: $ 25.00/hour
Location: Trenton, ON
Shift: Monday to Friday | 8:00am -4:00pm
Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently within the ERP system
Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams
Maintain vendor records and respond to supplier inquiries
Reconcile vendor statements and accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger
Prepare payment batches and support cheque, EFT, and wire processing
Process employee expenses, corporate credit card statements, and advances
Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
Support preparation of monthly and quarterly financial working papers
Assist with bank reconciliations, cash management, and general accounting tasks
Provide backup support for accounts receivable, including cash application
Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
Participate in process improvements and special projects

Qualifications and Skills:

2-5 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience
Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
Experience with ERP systems (Epicor experience preferred)
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business, or related field
Strong Microsoft Excel and overall MS Office skills
High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Experience with reconciliations and month-end processes is an asset
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
A detail-oriented and dependable professional
Strong organizational and time management skills
A proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset
Someone who values accuracy, accountability, and collaboration
Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
