Full job description

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field or relevant experience.
Proven experience in safety coordination or a similar role
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and training delivery
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as Procore and SiteDocs programs
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
COR certified preferred

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention
Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, including incident rates, trends, and recommendations for improvement
Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and personal protective equipment
Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory changes related to workplace safety
Track safety tickets/requirements for staff, make sure tickets are kept current, book courses for employees if needed.
Work with HR to complete safety orientations as part of the onboarding process.
Operation of company truck/trailers to deliver items to worksites or to complete site visits and inspections.
Other tasks deemed necessary by management.
