The Data Technician works along with operation staff and report to the divisional manager. Key responsibilities include electronic gauges/meters programming, setup and installation, configurate web-interface for monitoring and conduct injection testing with low-rate pumps.

Key Position Functions:
This position will perform a wide range of duties related to testing, including but not limited to:
- Follow all safety rules and regulations including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and clothing.
- Perform hazard assessment, rig-in and rig-out duties as assigned.
- Program electronic gauges/meters, setup and install on wellsite.
- Configurate data streaming, web-interface and charts for client and engineering for data monitoring.
- Accurately gather/transmit well data and keep record in a neat, organized manner.
- Operate pumping units and related equipment for injection test.
- Transfer fluids, injection test and data monitoring.
- Perform equipment maintenances and repairs to ensure all units are in safe/good working condition.
- Utilize self-study program to advance in knowledge and skills.
- Work with engineers and management to develop and implement new testing procedures as require.
- Organize supplies and parts as require by operation.
- Maintain close contact with the Supervisor/Manager regarding work assignments.
- Report all incidents and accidents immediately.
- Keep an open and professional communication with all coworkers and company representatives.
- Keep an operation logbook of important tasks with time stamp.
- Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness on location and in the shop.
- Travel with a Bumper Pull Trailer for long distances.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience:
· A minimum of 3 years of related field experience
Qualifications / Certifications:
· Willing to work flexible schedules during winter operation (Jan-Mar) of each year.
· Valid driver’s license (Class 1 or 3) with air brake (Q) endorsement (No GDL).
· Standard First Aid, H2S
· Operating knowledge on well testing equipment, downhole and surface recorders, gauges and pumps are important.
· Slickline, wireline, pumping experience or knowledge is an asset.
· Previous supervisory experience may be given an opportunity to train to be a supervisor.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and set priorities to meet deadlines.
· Strong communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
· Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
· Self-motivate and able to work independently.
· Ability to learn and make continuous improvements.
· Proficiency with
o Computer - Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Chrome
o Smart phone - browser, text messages and apps
