Full-Time Teacher (Complexity and Middle School) - 1.0 FTE

This position will have two separate contracts as .5 Complexity Teacher (temporary) and .5 Middle School Teacher (probationary) at St. Lorenzo Middle School.

Complexity Teacher Position Summary:
The Complexity Teacher will provide leadership in fostering inclusive educational practices and supporting student success across the school. This role collaborates with teachers, educational assistants, families, and support teams to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations, adaptations, and interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and promote inclusive practices throughout the school.

Support teachers in developing and implementing adapted, modified, and accommodated programming.

Collaborate with staff on Individual Support Plans (ISPs), student documentation, and educational programming.

Assist in identifying at-risk students and coordinating appropriate supports and interventions.

Build positive relationships with students, staff, educational assistants, and families.

Provide guidance and support to educational assistants regarding student programming and instructional concerns.

Facilitate professional learning opportunities for staff related to inclusive education.

Maintain ongoing communication with parents and caregivers relating to student support plans.

Participate in scheduled collaboration meetings, both online and in person.
Middle School Teacher Position Summary:
The Middle School Teacher will deliver engaging instruction that focuses on fostering holistic student growth, critical thinking, and academic achievement through collaborative and dynamic classroom instruction.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver student-centered instruction across assigned middle school curriculum subject areas.

Incorporate practical, hands-on learning experiences to accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Utilize contemporary assessment strategies to guide student development and ensure academic success.
- Maintain ongoing, collaborative communication with parents, colleagues, and school leadership to nurture student well-being.
Requirements:

Bachelor of Education

Valid Alberta Teaching Certification

Knowledge of Alberta School Curriculum

Focus on high quality, student-centered learning

Ability to collaborate with colleagues and to exercise servant leadership

Be comfortable working in a Faith filled environment
