Job Summary

Join our dynamic ophthalmology team as a Versatile Ophthalmic Technician, where your skills will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this energetic role, you will perform a variety of technical and administrative duties, ensuring patients receive exceptional service from check-in to exam completion. Your adaptability and technical expertise will support ophthalmologists in delivering precise diagnoses and effective treatments, all while maintaining a positive and efficient clinic environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills across multiple facets of eye care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients at the front desk with check-in, appointment scheduling, and insurance verification to ensure a smooth patient flow.
Conduct comprehensive pre-examination procedures including visual acuity testing, intraocular pressure measurement, and patient history collection.
Operate specialized ophthalmic equipment such as visual filed analyzers, autorefractors, and optical coherence tomography (OCT) devices with precision. We will provide training.
Maintain accurate records, documenting patient interactions thoroughly and efficiently.
Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout exams.
Support clinical staff with tasks like taking down patient information, vision testing, and assisting during minor procedures or treatments

Desired attributes

Previous medical office experience not required, we train our own.
