Full job description

CNC Press Brake Operator

A well-established metal fabrication company in Central Alberta is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Press Brake Operator to join its production team.

This position is suited to an experienced operator who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work and can confidently manage machine setup, tooling selection, and forming operations with minimal supervision.

What You’ll Do

Set up and operate CNC press brakes independently
Select and install the appropriate tooling for each job
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
Form parts accurately according to required dimensions and tolerances
Set up and operate plate rolls as required
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and conformance
Safely handle, move, and organize steel and fabricated components
Operate forklifts and overhead cranes
Complete routine machine checks and basic maintenance
Identify and troubleshoot forming or equipment issues
Follow all company safety procedures and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and production team members to meet scheduling requirements
Assist with other fabrication tasks and projects as assigned

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience operating CNC press brakes
Minimum three years of experience in metal fabrication or a related environment
Strong blueprint and drawing interpretation skills
Knowledge of press brake tooling, machine setup, and forming processes
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good organizational and time-management skills
Ability to safely operate a forklift; certification is considered an asset
Experience operating overhead cranes is considered an asset
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
