Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager Support Services specializing in Housekeeping, Laundry, and Dining Room Services to lead and coordinate essential support functions within our healthcare or senior living facility. This leadership role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and dining service quality. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for residents, patients, and staff alike. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to organizational excellence through effective management, process improvement, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate housekeeping, laundry, and dining room services to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to optimize service delivery.
- Manage staffing schedules, oversee training programs, and evaluate team performance to foster a motivated and efficient workforce.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care needs through timely laundry services and clean environments.
- Oversee inventory management for cleaning supplies, linens, dining materials, and equipment; ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Monitor quality control measures through regular inspections and audits; address deficiencies promptly.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency, reduce waste, and elevate resident satisfaction.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to operations, staffing, budgets, and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate communication across departments to ensure seamless coordination of services.
- Handle budget planning and resource allocation to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in hospitality services such as housekeeping, laundry, or dining within healthcare or senior care settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, hospital or assisted living environment standards, and infection control protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Outlook; familiarity with research tools is advantageous.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in change management and team development.
- Exceptional communication skills in English; bilingual abilities in French or other languages are preferred.
- Experience with medical office systems such as Dentrix or hospice care operations is a plus.
- Background in project management, process improvement initiatives, budgeting, and human resources practices.
- Knowledge of computer operation and technical skills related to medical office experience is desirable.
- Ability to adapt quickly to evolving organizational needs while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
