Job Summary

Shalom Counselling Centre is a non-profit Christian Charity that provides professional, financially accessible counselling to individuals and families facing emotional or relationship challenges. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Part Time Evening Receptionist to join our team for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm to 8:30pm! This vital role involves managing front desk operations during evening hours, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess strong communication skills to create a welcoming environment for visitors and clients alike. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your office experience while supporting our team during busy evening hours.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors and clients warmly, ensuring they feel welcomed and attended to promptly
Answer multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls accurately and professionally
Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate with staff using Microsoft Office
Handle data entry tasks with precision, maintaining accurate records of appointments, inquiries, and correspondence
Perform clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, proofreading documents, and organizing office supplies
Maintain a clean and organized front desk area while adhering to office protocols and confidentiality standards

Requirements

Proven office experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Experience with data entry, filing, and general clerical tasks in a professional setting
Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and communication abilities
Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
Ability to type quickly with high accuracy; experience in proofreading is a plus
Strong computer skills including familiarity with office equipment and basic troubleshooting
