Job Description:
ProVolve Power Technologies is seeking a new graduate to join our field service team as a Electrical Engineering Technologist / Engineer in Training (EIT). In this role, you will be responsible for providing field service support and technical expertise for LV/MV/HV electrical equipment. This includes electrical troubleshooting, equipment testing, maintenance, and commissioning. The successful candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and experience outlined below.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with LV/MV/HV electrical equipment testing, including breakers, CTs, PTs, switchgear, transformers, etc.
- Assisting with operating test equipment such as CT analyzers, ratio meters, winding resistance meters, meggers, hipots, Doble equipment, Omicron relay test sets, VLF units, etc.
- Producing final test reports via MS Excel and Bluebeam.
- Assisting with troubleshooting electrical control circuits and interpreting electrical SLDs, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Following and executing electrical isolation and safe work procedures.
- Assisting with job preparation, planning, and management.
- Participating in safety meetings and ensuring safety policies are adhered to.
- Providing electrical drafting assistance.
Qualifications:
- Possess an electrical engineering diploma/degree and preferably registered under ASET/APEGA as a T.T / EIT or equivalent.
- Familiar with MS Office applications.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel and flexibility to work in a deadline-driven environment, including work schedules of 14 days on/7 days off and similar.
- Valid driver's license.
