We have rebuilt our core Insurance applications with Guidewire Insurance Suite, we continue to evolve and enhance our core insurance applications to improve scalability, operational efficiency, and business agility
Join our Core Insurance Delivery team as Manager, Solution Development. In this role, you will combine technical depth, delivery leadership, and people development to drive successful operational support of Guidewire systems, implementation and enhancements that matter to our customers.
As Manager, Solution Development, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for supporting and delivering key products and services across the Guidewire platform and its broader ecosystem, enabling scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions that support the full software development lifecycle.
The incumbent in this role will support and enable the ongoing evolution of Guidewire core systems, APIs, integrations, and shared capabilities that reduce cross-team dependencies and enable self-service delivery. This includes building a team culture that encourages learning, reflection, and continuous improvement in how tools, processes, and practices are used to deliver modern, cloud-based, software solutions. Also, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architecture, infrastructure, and vendor partners to drive operational stability initiatives, manage delivery risks, and support long-term platform strategy, operational readiness, and service reliability
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Solid understanding of modern software delivery practices, including agile methodologies, systems thinking, continuous deployment, and domain-driven design, with the ability to apply these principles to reduce friction, manage dependencies, and enable autonomous team execution.
- Demonstrated experience leading software delivery teams, with a focus on coaching, fostering a healthy team culture, and enabling continuous improvement and effective collaboration.
- Experience building and leading operational support functions that partner closely with service desk and infrastructure teams to manage incident triage, change and release management, production support, and operational readiness activities.
- Strong understanding of security-focused operational practices and governance, with the ability to implement support models aligned to leading industry standards for reliability, compliance, and service continuity.
- Strong knowledge and hands on experience of Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) is considered a strong asset.
- Strategic mindset and sufficient technical expertise in modern, cloud-based, and distributed systems to engage with teams and support high-quality software delivery.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritisation skills. Comfortable navigating ambiguity and providing clarity.
- Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Driven to innovate, simplify processes, and make a meaningful impact.
The skills and competencies for this position are gained through eight years of experience comprised of four years of leadership and four years’ experience as a leader or project manager in the design and delivery of large systems to support business operations, along with a four-year degree in a relevant field of study, such as Information Technology, Mathematics & Applied Science or Business.
