Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records for residential rental properties and condominium corporations. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks, property management software, and general bookkeeping practices.

This position is responsible for accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting the preparation of condominium corporation budgets and annual audits.

The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, be highly organized, and confidently manage multiple priorities and deadlines. We are looking for a dependable team player who communicates clearly, takes initiative, and works collaboratively to support the accounting and property management teams.

Responsibilities

Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions using QuickBooks and property management software.
Manage accounts payable and ensure vendor invoices are processed and paid accurately and on time.
Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances as required.
Complete monthly bank and account reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
Review general ledger accounts to ensure financial information is accurate and properly recorded.
Assist with preparing annual budgets for condominium corporations.
Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for property owners, condominium corporations, boards, and management.
Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
Assist external accountants and auditors by providing requested documents and explanations during annual audits and financial reviews.
Prepare and submit WCB reports.
Respond to financial inquiries from owners, condominium boards, vendors, and internal team members.
Complete other bookkeeping and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills

Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience is required.
Experience with QuickBooks is required.
Experience with property management or condominium accounting is considered an asset.
Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Dependable team player who can also work independently.
Discretion when handling confidential financial and business information.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
