Hillman AV is looking for an Education & Public Sector Account Manager to grow our education and public-sector market.
You will own the growth of this market—developing new relationships, growing existing accounts, and managing qualified opportunities from discovery through decision.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit back and wait for leads. We are looking for someone who enjoys meeting people, asking good questions, uncovering problems, and turning those conversations into practical technology solutions.
You do not need to design every piece of technology. You do need to understand your customer, communicate clearly, stay organized, and take responsibility for moving opportunities forward.

What You’ll Own:
Grow Education & Public Sector Accounts
Build new relationships, grow existing customers, and become a trusted point of contact across education and public-sector organizations.
Create New Opportunities
Develop pipeline through targeted prospecting, referrals, existing relationships, identified projects, and solution demonstrations.
Lead Discovery & Solution Development
Understand customer needs, stakeholders, budget, timing, and desired outcomes, then work with our technical team to develop the right solution.
Manage Opportunities Through Decision
Own quotes, forecasts, proposals, follow-up, and next steps in Simpro while protecting scope, margin, and commercial viability.
Ensure a Clean Handoff
Transfer accepted projects to Operations with clear scope, expectations, documentation, and commitments.
What Success Looks Like:You'll be successful in this role when you:
- Build and maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline.
- Achieve revenue and gross profit targets.
- Consistently create new customer conversations and opportunities.
- Maintain clear next steps and accurate CRM and forecast information.
- Develop long-term customer relationships and repeat business.
- Deliver complete, accurate handoffs to Operations.

Experience That Would Help:
We're interested in people from a range of backgrounds.
Relevant experience could include:
- B2B account management or business development.
- Consultative sales.
- Technology, IT, or audiovisual solutions.
- Education technology.
- Public-sector or government sales.
- Telecommunications.
- Building technology or construction-related sales.
- Customer success involving complex solutions.
Experience working with education or public-sector organizations is an asset.
Audiovisual experience is an asset, but relationship development, business development, strong discovery, organization, and the ability to learn quickly matter more than knowing every product on day one.
