Now hiring! Canola Breeding Summer Associate

Location: Regina (Emerald Park), SK

Contract Duration: 6 months (Summer 2026)

Wage: $24 - $31 / Hour

During peak periods in the season, overtime will be paid for evenings or weekends.

We are looking for a Canola Breeding Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Regina, SK.

BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division connects innovation, customers, partners and agricultural experts and integrates sustainability criteria into all business decisions. We help farmers deliver the best possible outcomes, working to achieve the balance between economic, environmental and social value creation for sustainable and efficient agriculture.

Students will be hired and employed through a third-party contracting agency - Raise Recruiting.

Opportunities are based on business needs at our sites.

As a Canola Breeding Summer Associate, you create chemistry by...

Being involved in field trials for local and global breeding programs with the goal of developing hybrids that provide the highest return to growers.
Being involved with field activities relating to variety development and registration from seeding to harvest including seed set up, land preparation, seeding, pest control, pollination management, plot maintenance, parental development, harvesting and supervision of casual employees as required.
Being involved in crop health diagnosis through daily monitoring of field and research plots and data collection.

If you have...

Breeding and Agronomic knowledge attained through pursuing your degree/diploma in Agriculture or related program/field and/or recently obtained your Degree/Diploma in Agriculture in the last 2 years.
Experience in the Agriculture Industry is an asset, but not a requirement.
Demonstrate problem solving skills.
Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise minimizing impact on results.
Interest in canola development.
Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals.
