The WDM Corporate Office in Saskatoon is looking for a Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for the WDM’s marketing initiatives to increase community engagement and participation in WDM programs and services. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for: • Creating and delivering marketing campaigns, content schedules, and marketing materials to meet WDM goals and objectives. • Delivering and managing tactical plans for advertising and content schedules for both online and traditional media as per the marketing strategy. • Overseeing the WDM’s online digital presence across various platforms ensuring prompt, appropriate responses to public inquiries and cohesion with other ongoing marketing campaigns. • Managing online content including social media, Google, Trip Advisor, etc for comments, posts, paid advertising and reputation. • Planning and managing email and social marketing campaigns to enhance engagement with target audiences. • Performing website updates to ensure accuracy and current content. • Performing website quality assurance checks on a regular basis to ensure all website plug-ins are up to date and arranges for website updates as required, as well as ensuring website SEO is maintained and implements best practices by managing descriptions, captions, alt text, and more.

The successful candidate will: • Have experience working in museum, heritage or other cultural organizations. • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, advertisers and community contacts throughout the province. • Be willing to learn and remain current on latest marketing and communication trends and best-practices. • Be creative, imaginative and able to write engaging and exciting digital content for various online platforms that resonates with the Museum’s audience. • Have an eye for detail – organization, accuracy and attention to detail.

A detailed job description outlining duties, accountabilities and working conditions is attached. The salary range for this position is $48,932 – $56,732 annually. The work schedule is 72 hours per 2-week pay period. The WDM provides a substantial benefits package with paid sick leave benefits as well as employer paid health and dental benefits.
