Job Purpose
The Marketing Coordinator (MC) provides high-level administrative and marketing support to the Director, Communications (DC) and the Director, Brand (DB), while helping to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the Marketing Department. Serving as a key liaison between Marketing and other departments, the MC coordinates requests, supports projects and events, and contributes to the successful execution of marketing initiatives.
The MC is the primary resource for the graphic design, development, and production of marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand standards across all communications. This includes developing internal and external publications, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining marketing resources and supplies across all branches.
Through strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality, the MC plays an integral role in supporting marketing activities and enhancing CCU’s brand and reputation throughout the region.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
· Fosters strong relationships through service excellence and marketing knowledge to support staff with their marketing needs
· Coordinates and evaluates requests for sponsorships, donations, and credit union involvement
· Designs and produces internal and external publications and other marketing communications, including coordinating their scheduling and distribution
· Desings, prepares, and organizes marketing materials for membership development programs and product sales initiatives
· Acts as liaison with applicable marketing vendors to ensure the timely and accurate production of marketing materials
· Supports branches with daily promotional and communication needs, including restocking and distributing marketing and promotional items
· Assists operating departments with routine member communications in a positive and professional manner
· Protects credit union assets by ensuring strict compliance with risk management, security procedures, and standard operating practices in accordance with Central and internal policies
· Assists with communications and public relations initiatives related to CCU’s products and services
· Responds professionally and effectively to member and staff inquiries, including managing contentious issues within approved timelines
· Supports the Director, Communications and Director, Brand with projects such as community and member events, and content publishing
· Performs additional duties aligned with departmental and organizational goals as assigned

· Demonstrates strong computer literacy and technical aptitude, including proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office, graphic design tools such as Canva and Adobe to create professional, brand-aligned materials, as well as website and creative systems

Qualifications
· Secondary school diploma
· Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the financial or hospitality industry
· Some post-secondary education in marketing or administration is considered an asset
· Experience using graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe, Photoshop, or similar platforms.
· Experience with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and/or website content management systems is considered an asset
· A combination of relevant experience and post-secondary education directly related to marketing or the industry will be considered
Pay: $45,344.98-$60,459.97 per year
