Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and a passion for delivering a positive dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and restaurant operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and safety guidelines.
Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently.
Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality service.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Assist with food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary.
Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to maintain hygiene standards.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Friendly attitude with a focus on providing a positive dining experience for all customers.

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
