Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Equipment Operator and take charge of operating a variety of heavy machinery to support construction, transportation, and logistical projects. This role is vital in ensuring efficient, safe, and precise handling of materials and equipment across diverse work sites. Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes with precision and safety awareness.
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts and other specialized equipment.
Transport materials, freight, and equipment across job sites or storage areas following safety protocols.
Support automotive repair tasks related to heavy machinery to troubleshoot issues quickly and efficiently.
Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a secure work environment.
Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in diverse conditions.
Maintain a strong sense of urgency regarding the farm’s essential needs to sustain production.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks effectively, ensuring project deadlines are met without compromising safety.

Experience

Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, or loaders in a construction or industrial setting is an asset.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and logistics operations.
Familiarity with automotive repair basics related to heavy machinery is a plus.
Ability to perform routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot mechanical issues confidently.
Prior experience with safety protocols specific to heavy equipment operation is preferred.
