SET Mechanical Corporation is looking for an experienced MEPF BIM Modeler to support our construction and coordination team on multi-residential mechanical projects.
We are seeking someone who can take ownership of Revit modeling, shop drawing production, BIM coordination, as-built drafting, and field-supported drawing updates for mechanical/plumbing systems, while coordinating with architectural, structural, electrical, and fire protection trades.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain MEPF BIM models in Autodesk Revit
- Model plumbing and mechanical systems including:
- Domestic cold/hot water and recirculation
- Sanitary, storm, vent, and roof drainage systems
- Hydronic heating piping
- Gas piping
- Mechanical room piping and equipment layouts
- Fixtures, valves, supports, seismic restraints, and equipment connections
- Prepare shop drawings, coordination drawings, spool/layout drawings, and installation details
- Review architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings for coordination issues
- Use Bluebeam Revu for markups, quantity checks, drawing reviews, RFIs, and field revisions
- Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Support clash detection and trade coordination using Revit/Navisworks or similar tools
- Draft and maintain as-built drawings based on site redlines, field changes, RFIs, and approved changes
- Track drawing revisions, change orders, and updated IFC drawings
- Help produce closeout documentation, including as-builts, O&M support drawings, and deficiency updates
- Maintain accurate file organization, drawing logs, and model standards
Required Skills
- Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit
- Experience with MEPF coordination, especially mechanical and plumbing systems
- Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu
- Ability to read architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection drawings
- Understanding of construction sequencing, field installation, and coordination requirements
- Experience drafting as-built drawings from site markups and redlines
- Ability to identify clashes, missing information, and constructability issues
- Strong communication skills with project managers, site teams, engineers, and trades
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Navisworks Manage, BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, or similar platforms
- Experience on multi-family residential, high-rise, commercial, or mixed-use projects
- Knowledge of plumbing, hydronic, gas, drainage, mechanical room, and fixture installation layouts
- Familiarity with Canadian construction drawings, codes, and coordination workflows
Ideal Candidate
You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working between the office, BIM model, and site team. You understand that drawings need to be accurate, buildable, and useful for the people installing the work. You can take redlines, field notes, consultant drawings, and coordination comments and turn them into clean, reliable Revit and PDF deliverables.
